Posted by Ryan Morgan on September 03, 2013 at 10:34 AM
Emergency contraception (EC), a time-sensitive form of contraception that prevents pregnancy, has had a bumpy ride over-the-counter (OTC). But we’re there – kinda. How freely can you access EC OTC in your community? That’s what we want to find out with this month’s campaign: #SCECOTC Scavenger Hunt! Here’s how it works, stop by your neighborhood pharmacies and see if they offer EC OTC. If so, grab a snap shot on Instagram or Twitter* ECOTCInstagram   and tag your location

(if you can’t find it, just mention the pharmacy and location in the photo’s description). ECOTCtags   The person who finds the most locations delivering over-the-counter access to emergency contraception wins! An award will also go to the person who finds the most far-flung pharmacy providing EC OTC (we feel ya, rural SC!) The hunt begins September 5 and runs through the whole month. Winners will be announced October 1. At the end of the campaign, we’ll collect the names of all the pharmacies that provided OTC access to EC and write them a thank you note. You know, cause it’s the right thing to do. So get crackin’ access lovin’ folks—we have some EC to find! To find out more about how EC works, click here and here.
