Welcome to TellThem!
We are South Carolina's grassroots e-advocacy network committed to improving the health of young people through better public policies that encourage:
- reproductive health education in our schools and communities
- unrestricted access to reproductive health care services, especially in rural areas.
TellThem! is a program of the New Morning Foundation.
We are people just like you who believe it is imperative that we do everything possible to prevent unwanted pregnancies and sexually-transmitted infections in our young people. We believe this can be best achieved by providing accurate, age-appropriate comprehensive sexuality education. Teenage pregnancy touches all of us in South Carolina. The results can be staggering and lead to life-shattering negative consequences. While abstinence-only-until-marriage may work as a birth control method that prevents pregnancy with 100% certainty, abstinence-only-until-marriage as a primary policy for preventing teen pregnancy is not sufficient.
Our young people must receive the medically accurate information and education they need to avoid the high-risk behaviors that lead to unwanted pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections such as HIV.
