About Us

It’s critical that lawmakers know where their constituents stand on important issues, and Tell Them is the grassroots coalition that does just that.

Through this website and an array of digital communication vehicles, Tell Them members are kept informed about critical reproductive health issues and approaching legislative activity so they can make their voices heard. Here’s why this matters.

Statistics show frank talk about reproduction, personal responsibility, pregnancy prevention and family planning is the best way to reduce unintended pregnancies and sexually transmitted infection rates. (In fact, a vast majority of South Carolina voters support a realistic, responsible approach to sexual healthcare education and access to services and counseling.) But without sound public health policies, many of our most vulnerable citizens—young women in South Carolina’s poorest and most rural counties—simply will not be exposed to medically accurate sexual health education and won’t have access to reproductive healthcare and contraception.

Mission Statement

Tell Them members believe:

  • Every young woman in South Carolina deserves a chance to reach her full potential.
  • Every young woman in South Carolina has the right to receive age appropriate, comprehensive sexual health education.
  • Every young woman in South Carolina has a right to access uncensored health information, counseling and services.
Become a member of the Tell Them network and stand with us on behalf of these young women—and all South Carolinians. We believe there’s no more important issue facing us today.
