Introducing Allison Waymyers

Posted by Tell Them Advocate on September 30, 2015 at 11:36 AM

What do Tell Them Ambassadors, Michael Jordan, and Lou Holtz have in common? We all have the pleasure (or soon will) of working with Allison Waymyers!

Allison Waymyers is our new Community Development & Media Relations Manager and will be working closely with the Ambassador program
allison.jpgFor the past three years Allison has worked as a lobbyist and advocate for education reform, and is primed and ready to help us tackled sex education reform this year at the State Board and the State House.

Previously Allison worked in the energy sector as the youngest buyer for nuclear and fossil hydro facilities, and has worked for USC Football, the NFL, NBA, and Augusta National Golf Club (be sure to ask her for Michael Jordan and Lou Holtz stories -- she's got 'em!).

Allison's a proud USC graduate where she earned her B.S. in Marketing and specialized in International Business and minored in Spanish. She graduated from Columbia College with a M.A. in Organizational Change & Leadership. Allison was named “Top 40 Under 40” by the Black Pages and was designated “Top 20 Under 40” by The State newspaper.

Allison is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc and Junior League. She has received numerous awards for her corporate and philanthropic initiatives. She enjoys playing an active role in the community, and serves as an active mentor at various schools and universities. When she is not working with her former football recruits, this young mom can be found with her husband and son supporting her younger brother at his various sports and academic events.

Be on the look out for future communication from Allison, and if you'd like to welcome her aboard, you can contact her at AWaymyers@tellthemsc.org.
