Despair & hope & what your donation can do

By: Nikki Hardin When I read about reproductive clinics being closed down state by state, I despair. When I read about bills introduced that will limit access to birth control, I despair. When I read about politicians doubting that rape can result in a pregnancy, I despair. Because it truly feels as if we are entering a new dark age, in which bigotry, fear and ignorance rule are the basis for lawmaking. But when I read about the work of Tell Them, I see hope for our young people, our women, our state. Tell Them tells it like it is. Young men and women should have access to birth control and information on preventing STDs. Women should have access to family planning clinics and the right to make their own decisions about their bodies. And everybody should be aware of the facts of HIV and AIDS. Tell Them is making important change in our state, and they need more than Donate button1loose change to carry on the work they do. I’m proud to support them with my donations and by taking action on important issues. Nikki Hardin is the founder of Skirt! Magazine.
