My name is Beth Richardson. Like many women, I work a number of jobs each day: mother, wife, and lawyer to name a few. One of my most exciting jobs is serving as an ambassador for Tell Them.
Tell Them connects constituents with their legislators to advance the health, economic well-being, and rights of South Carolina's women, girls, and their families. Recently, Tell Them assisted in the passage of the Cervical Cancer Prevention Act, and the adoption of two budget provisos that invest in preventive health for South Carolinians.
The first proviso has granted transparency and accountability in sex education materials used in school districts, while the second has ensured that birth control is covered in the state benefits plan. Please consider giving an online donation during Midlands Gives on May 3rd , so Tell Them can continue to push for powerful legislative changes.
Midlands Gives is a 24 hour day of giving in which every donation of $20 or more given through midslandsgives.org improves the chances of Tell Them winning additional cash earnings.
Additionally, Tell Them will be providing their own incentives for donors that you won’t want to miss! The top donor on May 3rd between 10:00-10:59 am will win a lunch date with a Tell Them staff member and legislative champion against domestic violence Senator Katrina Shealy. The top donor between 4:00-4:59 pm will win a lunch date with a Tell Them staff member and legislative champion for cervical cancer prevention Representative Beth Bernstein. We are also excited to announce that we will receive matching funds up to 5,000 during this day of giving.
With Tell Them, we can promise that the voices of women and their families are heard loud and clear. Please give today.
We hope that you are able to participate, and again we thank you for your past donations and support. Here is the direct link to our donation page. Just as a reminder, in order for us to qualify for additional prizes, all donations must be submitted through this link on May 3rd.
